Becoming a volunteer firefighter is one of the most meaningful ways to give back to your community. It’s a commitment that takes dedication and hours of training, but the difference you’ll make in people’s lives is priceless. If you’re ready to take on the challenge, there’s a department excited to welcome you to the team.
Not sure interior firefighting is the right fit for you but still want to help? There are so many ways to get involved! As a non-profit, we rely on community support to host fundraisers that cover the costs of our programs, training, and equipment. Whether it’s organizing events, lending a hand on event day, or contributing in other roles, your time and talents are invaluable. Everyone can play a part in helping us serve the community.
Becoming A Firefighter
Joining the Middletown Township Fire Department as a firefighter starts with becoming a member of our department.
When you contact us, we’ll set up a meeting to walk you through the application process and explain how to apply. Once your application is complete and receives all necessary pre-approvals, it will go before the department for a final vote of approval.
After your application is approved, you’ll be eligible to attend a firefighter academy as a member of our organization. One of our officers will guide you through the enrollment process and ensure you’re ready to begin your training.
We’re here to support you every step of the way as you start this exciting and rewarding journey.
